Brand: Rickenbacker
Instrument Categories: Electric, Guitars, SOLD, Thinline
The Rickenbacker 325 Model 1996 reissue built only during 2006 recreates the guitars sold by Rose-Morris in England during the early 1960s, and most famously used by John Lennon for many early Beatles performances and recordings. These designs were the work of Roger Rossmeisl, and this particular guitar was based on the model 340, but scaled down.
A short scale guitar at under 21 inches, the Rickenbacker 325 Model 1996’s fully hollow thinline body carries three Vintage Single Coil Toaster Top pickups, an Accent Vibrato with roller bridge, and a true ‘F’ hole instead of the characteristic Rickenbacker slash. The finish is an Amber version of the Fireglo. The output is mono only.
This example dates to the middle of May, 2006 and was built, like all Rickenbackers, in Santa Ana California. It’s in great condition with only very minor wear and appears to have been hardly played.
The original silver-tolex case is included, and contains a copy of the warranty card, a promotional card with John Lennon’s image, and a printout of the guitar’s specs taken from the Rickenbacker website. That site has been unavailable for some time now.
