Here is a lovely PRS Custom 22 P90 10-Top in Translucent Teal finish, with Maple neck, dot position markers and regular neck profile.
Built during 1999 in Stevensville, Maryland, this PRS Custom 22 P90 is in overall good condition with light wear. The Custom 22, introduced in 1993 and still part of the PRS lineup, features a carved Maple cap on a Mahogany body, and here has an optional Maple neck with Maple fingerboard. The electronics are straight forward: three P90 pickups with a 5-way switch, Master Volume and Master Tone. The bridge is a ‘vintage’ style PRS trem, and the head has locking PRS tuners with ebony buttons.
This PRS Custom 22 P90 plays well and P90s are great sounding pickups.
The original hard shell case is included, and contains the original hang tags and warranty information.
This is a 10-top guitar, as identified by the small “10” written on the back of the headstock just past the serial number. The figuring is intense and even, and the bookmatching is very well done.
Here’s PRS on the ’10-Top’ concept:
A very small percent of the maple trees cut in North America are actually figured. To make “10-Top” status, a PRS top must have clearly defined figure across its entire top. A guitar designated as a “10-Top” will have a small “10” written on the back of the headstock in the upper right corner. Some of our earlier guitars have the “10” stamped into the finish in the same position, and guitars with rosewood necks will have the “10” stamped into the back of the headstock.
