❌SOLD ❌ PRS CE 24 Solidbody Trans Red, 2000

The 1991 PRS CE 24 solidbody uses a basic, straight ahead formula – a Maple neck, with Rosewood fingerboard, bolted to a solid Mahogany body, a trem and a pair of humbucking pickups.

Introduced in 1988 and built until 2008, with production resuming in 2016, the PRS CE 24 solidbody is the “Classic Electric” 24 fret model. To 1995, this model featured an Alder body with a Maple cap. In 1995, this changed to a solid Mahogany body and the current version again uses a Maple cap but on a Mahogany back.

Here we’re looking at a PRS CE 24 solidbody built during 2000, pairing the solid Mahogany body with the short-heel Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard. Position markers are Abalone dots, with two sets of side dots – one on the side and one on the top edge. The head plate is black with the classic Paul Reed Smith signature, and the truss rod cover is unmarked. For hardware, the head carries the typical PRWS locking tuners with top-locking mechanism, and the body has the PRS Vintage Trem. A pair of humbucking pickups with a selector switch lead to Master Volume and Tone controls and a side-mount output jack. The finish is a dark Translucent Red.

This guitar is in overall quite good condition and plays well. Fret wear is light, and the finish has only very light scuffing on the back.

The original PRS hard shell case is included.
