❌SOLD❌Gibson Hummingbird Square Shoulder Dreadnought Sunburst, 1967

Immediately popular particularly with singer-songwriters and carrying a distinctive hand-painted pickguard, the Hummingbird was used on many popular recordings, sometimes to surprising results. For example, The Rolling Stones’ ‘Street Fighting Man’ features a Hummingbird recorded on an overdriven Philips cassette recorder, with Charlie Watts using a portable practice kit. Other recordings, like ‘Angie’,  record the Hummingbird more conventionally.

❌SOLD ❌ Alastair Miller Spanish T Deep Forest Green, 2018

❌SOLD ❌ Alastair Miller Spanish T Deep Forest Green, 2018

Here’s a new Alastair Miller Spanish T style guitar, built with a reclaimed Spanish Cedar body, African Wenge neck, and sporting a deep forest green finish. While new, this guitar features a ‘reliced’ aesthetic. Miller frequently uses reclaimed woods in his guitars, as seen in his successful ‘Barncaster’ models built using timbers from an old barn at a family property. Here, Spanish Cedar lumber has been reworked into a T-style body.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson 1936 Advanced Jumbo Vintage Sunburst, 2013

❌SOLD❌ Gibson 1936 Advanced Jumbo Vintage Sunburst, 2013

This is a treat – from the 2013 Historic Collection, what is now described as the Gibson 1936 Advanced Jumbo in Vintage Sunburst!  This model saw a very limited production run of perhaps 50 guitars during 2013. Initially introduced in 1936 and built until 1940, the Gibson Advanced Jumbo is a round or ‘slope’ shouldered dreadnought guitar with Red Spruce – also known as Adirondack Spruce – and Rosewood for the sides and back.

❌SOLD❌ Fender Custom Shop ’69 Stratocaster Relic White, 2006

❌SOLD❌ Fender Custom Shop '69 Stratocaster Relic White, 2006

Here we’re looking at a Fender Custom Shop ’69 Stratocaster in the Relic version, built during 2006 at the Fender plant in Corona, California. It’s in very good condition with only light wear – beyond the relic treatment! Closely following 1969 specs, the body is Alder and the neck is Maple. There’s no ‘skunk stripe’ on the back of the neck – the rolled-edge fingerboard is a piece of Maple, applied in the same way a Rosewood board would be, and the truss rod was installed from the front of the neck before the fingerboard was installed.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Custom 62 Reissue White, 2000

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Custom 62 Reissue White, 2000

The Gibson Les Paul Custom 62 Reissue recalls the complete redesign of the Les Paul, triggered in 1961 by poor sales, ironic for a guitar that’s now very highly valued. By 1963, the model was renamed at Les Paul’s request, and Gibson called it the ‘SG’. Like the original, the Les Paul Custom 62 Reissue uses a contoured Mahogany slab body with a Mahogany neck. Like previous Les Paul Custom models, the fingerboard is Ebony instead of Rosewood, and the position markers are Mother of Pearl blocks.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Slash Signature Rosso Corsa, 2013

Released in a limited run of 1200 instruments during 2013, the Gibson Slash Signature Les Paul sports an AAA-grade flame maple top and a new ‘Rosso Corso’ or Racing Red finish, and of course with the distinctive Slash graphic on the head. Well known for his work with bands like Guns ‘N Roses, Velvet Revolver and many side projects, it’s natural that there would be a Gibson Slash Signature Les Paul.
