Part of their recording series, the Larrivee L03 is an American made instrument with excellent craftsmanship, tone and value. Back in the early seventies a young Jean-Claude Larrivee created the L body shape which has become a staple of the Larrivee guitar line. This body shape is similar to a classical body shape and features a Symmetrical Parabolic X-Bracing pattern.

Here we have a Fender Jazz Bass dating to 7 May 1962 with a Burgundy refinish replacing the original Sunburst. This is a fairly rare Rosewood Slab Board model, indicating a type of neck built in Fullerton, California until mid 1962. The Fender Jazz Bass was introduced in 1960, aimed at the Jazz bass players who had not adopted the Precision Bass or who wanted a thinner neck and more focused tone. The Offset Body that debuted on the 1958 Jazzmaster was used for the Jazz Bass body.

MORE →The Taylor 517e Builder’s Edition uses of the company’s newest body shapes, the Grand Pacific. This is a round shoulder dreadnought design, paired with Taylor’s new V class bracing system. This marks a new sound for Taylor guitars inspired by classic acoustic guitar recordings and the sonic improvements of their V class bracing. The tone is warm with powerful clear bass and round full notes that smoothly blend together to create a unified harmonic voice.

MORE →Here is something not seen every day – a Suhr Modern Carved Top model with a chambered Lacewood top, Cedar back body. Suhr models start at professional grade and are largely custom order. A quirk of the Suhr process is that the serial number is established at time of order, sometimes well before the instrument construction is begun, let alone finished. While these numbers are consecutive, that doesn’t always match the sequence pieces are completed. Here, this Suhr Modern Carved Top model has a COA listing a date of 10/24/2017.
