❌SOLD❌ Martin M-36 Steel String Guitar Natural, 2012

❌SOLD❌ Martin M-36 Steel String Guitar Natural, 2012

The Martin M-36 is based on the very successful Martin M, or 0000 ‘Quadruple O’ size body. This is larger than any of the single to triple 0 size bodies, yet smaller than a dreadnought; consequently it is fairly loud with great projection, and has a very evenly represented tone and is very comfortable to play. It’s ideal for solo performers but fits well into ensembles and extremely well into recording situations.

❌SOLD❌ Gretsch G6120DSW G-Brand Archtop Electric Orange, 2006

❌SOLD❌ Gretsch G6120DSW G-Brand Archtop Electric Orange, 2006

Based on mid 1950’s models, the Gretsch G6120DSW Chet Atkins model is probably the iconic Gretsch with its G brand in the top and ‘Western’ motif inlays. A fully hollow guitar with tone bars and a soundpost for support, the DSW designation indicates that DynaSonic style pickups are installed, and the Western decorations are used. Here we’re looking at a Gretsch G6120DSW built at the Terada plant in Japan, dated to August 2006. It’s in great, original condition with very little wear. Fret wear varies from light and to negligible and the finish is in great shape.

⚌Reduced‼ Francois Tachet Mirecourt School Guitar, 1830s

Here’s something special, a lovely Romantic Era guitar built by Francois Tachet in Mirecourt, northeastern France, during the 1830s or early 1840s.   Mirecourt has long been known for making musical instruments and lace;  instruments from the area are often referred to as from the Mirecourt School.  Louis Panormo was a  contemporary, working in London.  This Francois Tachet romantic guitar –  at approximately 185 years old – is in good working order,  and has had some expected service over the decades.
