Brand: National Resophonic Guitars
Instrument Categories: Electric, Guitars, Resophonic Guitars, SOLD
The National Resolectric Revolver is a hybrid instrument, combining a single cone resonator with both a Lollar P-90 and a Highlander undersaddle piezo pickup system on a thin body. The unmistakable tone and bark of a resophonic guitar are available in a compact, lightweight package that works on well amplified stages.
The National Resolectric Revolver is similar to the National Resolectric – the difference is in the woods used. The Resolectric Revolver uses Mahogany for the body and Ebony-fingerboard neck, while the Resolectric normally uses Figured Maple for the Rosewood-fingerboard neck and as a cap for the Mahogany body. As well, the Revolver uses a satin finish instead of gloss. Otherwise, the dimensions, hardware and control layouts are the same. However, options chosen may narrow the differences!
Here we’re looking at a National Resolectric Revolver, built during 2014 at the National plant in San Luis Obispo, California. It’s in very nice clean condition, though the truss rod cover is missing. It plays well and cleanly, and in tone is unmistakably a National. It’s bright and clear without being brittle or harsh. The blend of the Lollar P-90 and the Highlander piezo offers a very wide range of sounds, from a traditional acoustic to a thick, hot slide.
The original National hard shell case is included.
