The all-white Martin 000-ECHF Bellezza Bianca was produced during 2006 in a run of 410 instruments, following the all-black 2004 Bellezza Nera, of which 476 were made.
These models were designed by Martin in collaboration with Eric Clapton and Japanese artist Hiroshi Fujiwara; the label has four signatures, C. F. Martin IV, Eric Clapton, Hiroshi Fujiwara, and Dick Boak from Martin.
Based on a more or less ‘Standard’ 14-fret 000 guitar body, the Martin 000-ECHF Bellezza Bianca uses a solid Engelmann Spruce top, but the sides and back are Big Leaf Maple. The body blocks and diamond-volute, vintage V-profile neck are Mahogany, with Ebony for the bridge, head plate and bound fingerboard.
A classic ‘Torch’ style inlay in Abalone and other shell adorns the headstock, and a ‘snowflake’ inlay set is used on the 24.9 inch scale fingerboard. The rosette also features ‘slotted diamond’ inlays on a black ring. Between the last two frets, “Bellezza Bianca” is inlaid in Mother of Pearl. The finish is a gloss white Nitrocellulose lacquer, and slightly yellowed Ivoroid binding encircle the guitar’s top, back, fingerboard and headstock.
This is number 264 of 410, and is in excellent condition with virtually no wear.
The original Martin Case – also white, to match the guitar’s theme – is included, and contains the original extra materials.
