Instrument Categories: Acoustic Steel String, Guitars
Here is a new Martin 000-13E Road Series Steel String Guitar, which not only uses a number of sustainable, non-traditional woods, but is also built at Martin’s plant in Navojoa, Sonora Mexico.
The Martin Road Series is aimed to be a solid player’s guitar loaded with classic Martin DNA at an affordable price point. The Martin 000-13E is an auditorium sized guitar with a shorter scale length compared to the OM models.
This OOO body shape is very comfortable for many players as it features a smaller lower bout and curvy waist. The auditorium body size works really well for fingerstyle playing and light to medium strumming.
The solid Sitka spruce top of the Martin 000-13E has a lovely dynamic range and great balance of warmth and clarity. It is paired with Siris sides and back with a rosewood color stain. This helps to keep the cost down while providing great looks. Siris is also known as “East Indian Walnut”, but is from the Acacia family. In terms of tone and volume, it’s between Mahogany and Rosewood.
The Martin 000-13E uses the performing artist neck shape which is very comfortable with not too much mass, allowing for easy fingerstyle playing and strumming. The onboard Fishman MX-T pickup has you stage ready and it has built sound board tuner which mutes the output signal so you can tune silently without a tuner pedal. The Martin 000 13E comes with a premium softshell case and is an all-around solid player’s guitar.
Sold with a Martin Gig Bag.
