Brand: Martin
Instrument Categories: Guitars, SOLD
The Martin 00-18v draws from a design introduced in 1877 and in continuous production to the current day.
This example was ordered through the Custom Shop and dates to 2012 and sports the ‘Ambertone’ finish treatment over a scalloped-brace Adirondack Spruce top, Mahogany body and Mod-V profile neck, Ebony fingerboard and through-saddle bridge. It has nickel plated Waverly tuners, and no electronics. As a modern Martin, it has an adjustable truss rod, and thankfully the faux-tortoise pickguard is affixed to the finish, not directly to the top wood.
Overall, this Martin 00-18V Custom Shop guitar is in good shape with just a few minor dings and wear marks. It has a relatively wide fingerboard, at just about 1.76 inches (44.67mm), plays well and has an even, well balanced tone. The 00 body size produces a fair amount of volume, with not too much bass, and has a compact, comfortable size.
The original hard shell case is included.
