Part of the Standard Series but with a design dating to 1898, the Martin 00 18 draws from the discontinued 00-18V, with a Sitka Spruce top paired with Mahogany.
Here we’re looking at a Martin 00 18 standard series guitar, built during 2019 in Nazareth, Pennsylvania and in very good, clean condition. There’s virtually no wear of any kind. For woods, this guitar uses Sitka Spruce for the top and Mahogany for the sides, back, body blocks and neck. The head plate is Indian Rosewood and sports a gold Martin decal. The bridge and bound fingerboard are Ebony. The body finish is gloss, but the neck is a smooth satin. The tuners are open-gear Grover Sta-Tite models. This example has no electronics or pickups installed.
The Martin 00 18 is great for fingerstyle playing. The relatively small body size is very comfortable when playing seated, and the tone is crisp clear and evenly represents the harmonic range.
The original Martin arched top hard shell case is included.
More From The Builder On The Martin 00 18:
“The 00-18 is an updated version of the the popular 00-18V. A Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides are the foundation for this classic grand concert model. A modified low oval high performance neck, East Indian rosewood headplate and an ebony fingerboard and bridge complete this model and make it a guitar you will treasure for years to come.”
