Brand: Maegen Wells
Instrument Categories: Archtop, Electric, Guitars, SOLD
Maegen Wells has built guitars and mandolins since 2006, doing repairs, in an electric production shop, acoustic shops, and worked with noted luthier Tom Ribbecke. She now runs her own shop in Forestville, California.
This Maegen Wells archtop guitar is built using a traditional pairing of carved Spruce top with solid, flamed Maple for the sides and carved back. The body is 16.5 inches wide at the lower bout. The neck is birds-eye maple, with a bound Ebony fingerboard. The bridge, tailpiece, pickguard, tuner buttons, and heel cap are also Ebony. The tuners are Gotoh 510 high-ratio models and a Bartolini pickup floats on the pickguard.
This guitar is in very nice, clean and original condition with the slightest wear. The finish is in great shape, though it has a flaw – there is a dark stain on the top under the finish close to the lower edge below the F-hole, possibly some ebony dust. This was taken into account during pricing.
The original Armitage hard shell case is included.
