This Larrivee L-10 Rosewood was built during 2002 in Oxnard California, within a year of the opening of that shop. The L series has been built since the 1980’s and shows Larrivee’s classical guitar influence, delivering a full and well balanced tone.
Materials used on the Larrivee L-10 include a Sitka Spruce top paired with Indian Rosewood for the sides, back and head plate. The body blocks and neck are Mahogany, with Ebony for the bridge, head plate and ivoroid-bound fingerboard. The inlay set is minimal as silver dot position markers and headstock outline, but the top purfling and rosette are abalone.
For hardware and electronics, the nut and saddle are bone, the tuners are sealed Larrivee-branded models, and a Fishman Aura pickup set is factory stock. The controls for the pickup are tucked under the bass edge of the soundhole.
This example is in overall good condition, with a bit of finish separation on the back and around the bridge. Fret wear is light. The saddle is low, and the guitar plays well and cleanly.
The original hard shell case is included.
