The Larrivee L-09, based on the classically influenced L-body series, features a Sitka Spruce top paired with Indian Rosewood back and sides. The L series first appeared in the 1980’s and the balanced body shows the clear influence of classical builders, like Edgar Monch, that Larrivee was exposed to during his early days in Toronto.
This example of the Larrivee L-09 steel string production dates to 1995 and was built in Victoria, British Columbia. Like other L series guitars, it offers a rich, even output throughout the harmonic range. Aside from the Sitka Spruce and Indian Rosewood, Mahogany is used for the neck and Ebony is used for the bridge and bound fingerboard. The top sports a ring of abalone as part of the rosette.
This guitar plays well and has been recently serviced by The Twelfth Fret Repair Shop. It is in overall good condition, with minor play wear and its fret wear is mostly confined to the lower positions.
The original hard shell case is included.
