The Larrivee C-09 is still in production, and is fundamentally an L-09 model but with a pointed Florentine Cutaway. The Larrivee L-Body draws from classical guitar proportions, and delivers a full, rich and evenly balanced tone with plenty of volume and projection. The materials used include a Sitka Spruce top, Indian Rosewood for the sides, back, headplate and body binding, Mahogany for the body blocks and neck, and Ebony for the bridge and bound fingerboard. The rosette is an Abalone ring.
Dating to November 30 1994 and built in Victoria BC, this early Larrivee C-09 is in overall good condition with minor fret wear some light marking to the finish, as can be expected after nearly 30 years of use. It also has a Fishman pickup system installed, powered by a standard 9v battery mounted to the neck block – low enough to not obscure the serial number.
This Larrivee C-09 is sold with a white Calton lightweight flight case.
