The Larrivee C-05 with Florentine Cutaway Natural, now discontinued, features Sitka Spruce and Mahogany construction, with Fishman Prefix Plus electronics. Dating to March of 1997, this guitar was built in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Starting from the standard Larrivee ‘L’ body developed over the years, the ‘C’ body adds a Florentine cutaway. The Sitka Spruce top is standard with an Abalone rosette. As an ’05’ model, the sides and back are Mahogany, with Maple binding. The body blocks and neck are also Mahogany, with Ebony for the bridge, head plate, and ivoroid bound fingerboard. The head is decorated with a Mother of Pearl Larrivee logo and the silver boundary originally designed by Tony Duggan-Smith.
These Larrivee C-05 models are intended for live performance, so they have built in electronics, here a Fishman Prefix Plus system, based on an under-saddle pickup; this is an older model without tuner.
This example is in very good, clean condition with only light wear. Fret wear is light, and the guitar is very playable.
The original hard shell case is included.
