Here we have a lovely Josh House 000 model built in May of 2019 with Mahogany for the top, sides, back and neck, and Ziricote for the bridge, head plate and fingerboard.
Josh House studied under Serge de Jonge during 2003 and since 2001 has operated Canadian Luthier Supply, offering specialised guitar building tools and jigs.
This Josh House 000 is a very well built guitar with a simple appearance. The body and neck are Mahogany with Spruce bracing for the top and back. The top uses solid linings, the back linings are reverse-kerfed and it’s very cleanly built inside. On the inside of the top, to the bass side of the fingerboard tag, there’s a hand-written note “Built by Josh House May 2019”. The rosette, fingerboard, bridge and head plate are Ziricote, the fingerboard is nicely figured. The body is bound in Ziricote with Red purfling.
Tuners are Grover Sta-Tite open gear models, and a K&K Pure Mini passive pickup set is installed to the top, with an tail-block output jack. The frets are stainless steel, so they should last quite some time before requiring service. The finish is a light oil, likely Tru-Oil (which is also used by Ernie Ball Music Man for necks).
There’s very little wear on this guitar, it plays well and has a warm, evenly represented tone.
This Josh House 000 is sold with its original Hiscox lightweight flight case.
