The Ibanez EHB1000 line was introduced at the 2020 Winter NAMM show, and features a Basswood body, Maple neck and active Bartolini pickups. The line is available in 4 or 5 string versions, and there’s a Multi-Scale option for the 5-string. There are two models, the EHB1000 series seen here, and the EHB1500 series, which uses a Mahogany and Poplar for the body, and Panga Panga (Millettia stuhlmannii) instead of Maple for the neck.
Here we’re looking at an Ibanez EHB1000 built during May of 2020 at the Cor-Tek plant in Indonesia. The nicely contoured body is American Basswood, and the neck is constructed of Roasted Maple and Walnut, with a Roasted Birds-Eye Maple fingerboard. The 24 frets are Stainless Steel and show no wear. The bridge is an MR5HS model and the pickups are Bartolini BH2 passive models; the active EQ runs off a single 9v battery, with a battery box on the back.
This bass is in great condition with virtually no wear. It is sold with its original Ibanez gig bag.
Here’s the builder on the Ibanez EHB1000:
“The Ibanez EHB1000’s headless construction, contoured body, ergonomic design, and chambered body make for a lightweight and comfortable instrument that’s excellent for long sets or practice sessions. This series also sports a combination of high-quality tone woods and versatile electronics, resulting in a cutting-edge, ultra-modern bass, capable of cutting though the complex landscape of tones required for today’s bassist.”
