Brand: Huss and Dalton
Instrument Categories: Acoustic Steel String, Guitars, SOLD
While the majority of the guitars we see are based on historically established designs, models like the Huss and Dalton FS break newer ground in adapting to modern player requirements.
Here we’re looking at a Huss and Dalton FS, cutaway for upper register access, with Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, Mahogany neck with bound Ebony fingerboard, and Ebony bridge. All the binding is Maple. The rosette ring, headstock logo and position marker dots are Abalone. The tuners are excellent H-D branded Gotoh 510 models, and there are no electronics installed.
Looking inside the soundhole with a mirror, a date of June 26 2010 can be seen written between the treble side X brace arms. This also reveals the extremely clean construction of the guitar!
This example is in very good, clean condition with only the lightest wear. It sounds good as it is, and with playing will continue to develop for some years.
The original arched-top tweed hard shell case by TKL is included.
Here is the builder on the Huss and Dalton FS model:
“Our Model FS is aimed directly at the modern finger-style player. While utilizing the body shape of the CM, it adds shallower body depth for a more immediate response along with lighter top bracing for greater sustain. Its wider tapered fretboard, combined with a flatter, low-profile neck shape, ultimately creates the perfect finger-style guitar. “
