Here is a stunning new Huss and Dalton CM Rosewood model with a pale white Engelmann Spruce top and Venetian cutaway!
Huss and Dalton are based in Staunton, Virginia and have long experience in building. Jeff Huss worked for Stelling Banjos for nine years. Mark Dalton also went to Stelling in 1994, bringing a lot of experience with finish processes. Together, they expanded their interest in guitar building, and they produce extremely well built and great sounding instruments.
Here we’re looking at a brand new, just introduced Huss and Dalton CM model. It features an Engelmann Spruce top, Indian Rosewood for the sides and back, with Mahogany for the body blocks and neck. The head plate, bridge, and Maple-bound fingerboard are Ebony. Body binding is also Maple. Abalone is used for the rosette and 12th Fret Scroll inlay, and the Huss and Dalton log is Mother of Pearl.
The out-of-box setup is quite good, and the Huss and Dalton CM is a great sounding guitar, with an extensive range.
This fine instrument is sold with the original Huss and Dalton branded, arched top hard shell case.
Here is what the builders say about the new Huss and Dalton CM model:
“The Huss and Dalton CM model is perfect whether you are a songwriter needing an inspirational writing tool or a discerning finger stylist, or perhaps a blend of both.
Though somewhat smaller than a dreadnought and with deep sides at 4-5/8″, it really packs low-end warmth and response.
The elegant design includes a soft Venetian cutaway, body and fretboard bindings of figured maple, an abalone rosette, and an understated 12th-fret scroll fretboard inlay in abalone.
The Huss & Dalton CM will give you the full tonal spectrum, as well as the reach to achieve the most complex melody. Standard woods are Engelmann Spruce top and either Mahogany or Indian Rosewood back and sides.”
