Brand: Heritage Guitars
Instrument Categories: Archtop, Electric, Guitars, SOLD, Thinline
Harkening back to the Gibson ES-225 of the mid-1950s, the Heritage H 525 is a thin body, single Florentine cutaway electric archtop guitar with a pair of Lollar P-90 pickups. The body is a Flame Maple laminate with dual tone bar bracing on the top; the neck is Mahogany, with a bound Rosewood fingerboard. Laminate is used on models like this as it tends to be more feedback resistant at higher stage volumes.
This Heritage H 525 is a PTD VSB model, built during 2007 at the Heritage plant, 525 Parsons Street Kalamazoo Michigan – the old Gibson facility. The H 525 does not presently appear in Heritage listings on on its website. P T D stands for P90s, Thinline, Dual Pickup, while VSB means ‘Vintage Sun Burst’ (thanks to a customer for clarifying ‘PTD’).
This example is in very good condition. Its original trapeze tailpiece has been removed and a Gibson L-5 type tailpiece has been added. The original tailpiece is included in the case Wear is very light, including light fret wear.
Heritage guitars are typically very well built and set up, and this guitar is no exception. It is a very attractive, comfortable guitar and plays well. The Vintage Sun Burst replicates a faded Tobacco sunburst, and looks great.
The original Heritage hard shell case, built by Guardian, is included.
