Brand: Guild
Instrument Categories: 12 String, Acoustic Steel String, Guitars, SOLD
Guild became one of the most prominent builders of 12 strings, and this 1975 Guild G312 is an example of why that happened. Built in Westerly, Rhode Island, this 12 delivers a lot of tone with an unmistakable voice.
This Guild G312 sports a standard dreadnought body shape, Sitka Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, mahogany for the neck and ebony for the fingerboard and bridge. Its action is remarkably low for a 12 string of this vintage, suggesting that it has had a very well done neck reset. Currently the action is at 3/64ths inch treble and 4/64ths bass, with plenty of saddle height available.
As a Guild, it feels solid, has a great tone, and fills the room. It is in overall good condition with a few marks and moderate fret wear particularly in the lower positions. The original hard shell case is included.
