Brand: Guild
Instrument Categories: Acoustic Steel String, Electric, Guitars, SOLD
The Guild F5CE is designed for performance, with a cutaway shallow-sided ached back rosewood body, Sitka spruce top and a Fishman Prefix system built in. This model was built from 1992 to 2001 at Guild’s plant in Westerly, Rhode Island.
The model name breaks down this way – it’s an F-5, with Cutaway and Electric pickups. The NT is for Natural Top; Sunburst was also available. The neck is mahogany, with an Indian Rosewood fingerboard.
This example Guild F5CE dates to 1996, and is in overall good condition. It has been used as intended, so there is expected play wear, but that’s a testament to how useful it is. The original chrome Grover Roto-Matics have been replaced with Gold plated Roto-Matics, but otherwise it is in original condition.
This interesting and practical guitar is just out of being set up by The Twelfth Fret Repair Shop, so it plays well. It’s very comfortable to play and strikes a good balance between acoustic tone, amplified volume, and feedback resistance.
The original hard shell case is included.
