❌SOLD❌ Godin A6 Ultra Cognac Burst HG 2020

This is a very nice Godin A6 Ultra in a high-gloss Cognac Burst, built during April 2020 in Quebec and featuring both a humbucker and piezo pickups.

The Godin A6 Ultra, like the very versatile and successful Multiac series, draws from the 1981 – 1995 Gibson Chet Atkins CEC (Cutaway Electric Classical) and 1987 – 2006 SST (Solidbody Steel String) designs. The CEC was essentially a solid Mahogany body, set-neck nylon string with a piezo pickup and preamp set, intended to support Chet’s use of nylon string guitars at stage volumes. The SST used the same concept but with steel strings and a pin bridge. While these models had some success, Gibson eventually abandoned the concept.

Godin, on the other hand, improved the design with a bolt-on neck, lighter weight via chambered bodies, and pickup sets that included piezo systems, standard magnetic pickups, and hex pickups with 13-pin outputs to drive synthesizers. These guitars have developed the market success that the design deserves, and are found in many genres.

This Godin A6 Ultra example from 2020 is in overall good condition with only light wear. The chambered body is a Maple and Poplar combination with a top that is listed as Cedar. The neck is Mahogany with Richlite for the fingerboard and bridge. This model uses a custom Godin humbucker and a piezo system under the saddle, and each pickup has its own output jack, which allows for two completely different amp settings. The finish is a very good-looking Cognac burst in high gloss (identified as HG in the Godin material).

This is a beautiful guitar that plays well. It is sold with a gig bag.
