Introduced in 2014 and built until the plant closed, the Gibson Memphis ES Les Paul was one of the most radical versions of the Les Paul design. Though it looks from a few feet away much like a ‘Standard’ Les Paul, the ES version has a pair of F-holes exposing the mostly hollow, chambered body. The core structure of the body is Mahogany, with AAA-grade figured Maple laminate for the arched top and back and the side rims. The neck is Mahogany, with a bound Indian Rosewood fingerboard.
Electronics include the MHS humbuckers, aiming at an authentic PAF reproduction, and these run through standard Gibson controls though the rhythm tone control gets a slightly lower value capacitor than the treble (.015uF vs .022uF).

Here we’re looking at a Gibson Memphis ES Les Paul in Light Burst finish, dated to July 22, 2014. It is in very good, clean condition with only very light wear. There is one change from being fully original – the stock Gibson Deluxe tuners were swapped for a set of Grover Deluxe models, which use thread-in top bushings rather than the Kluson style press-fit bushings.
The original brown ‘Made in Canada’ case by TKL is included and contains the Certificate of Authenticity, and the original set of Gibson Deluxe tuners.
