Here we’re looking at a Gibson Les Paul Studio LH (Left Handed) model with gloss finish, fingerboard binding and trapezoid position markers. Since it first appeared in 1983, the Les Paul Studio has been available in a range of configurations. All have delivered the essential Les Paul experience and is one of the better deals in quality electric guitars.
This Gibson Les Paul Studio LH was built during 2018 in Nashville and is in great, original condition, with very little wear. It has all the elements of a Les Paul – the maple capped mahogany body (with significant weight relief) and mahogany neck with a bound Indian Rosewood fingerboard. It plays well and cleanly, and the light weight helps with comfort when standing to play for entire sets.
This example uses a set of locking Grover Roto-Matic tuners with kidney-shaped metal buttons. These are a huge aid to fast restringing, though they provide little towards tuning stability. The plastic parts are black, and the pickguard is long gone. The metal hardware is chrome plated. The installed pickups are Seymour Duncan models, wired with push-pull switches on the volume controls for coil splitting.
The original brown, Gibson labelled hard shell case is included.
