The Gibson Les Paul Standard has endured decades of use, in and out of fashion, and has remained one of the guitarist’s workhorse designs. Using a maple cap on a mahogany body, with mahogany for the neck and rosewood for the fingerboard, the Gibson Les Paul Standard can deliver a tone covering the full spectrum.
This example was built at the Gibson Nashville plant and the serial number dates to March 20, 2000. Its top is relatively plain though it has some figuring, and it sports a nice tobacco sunburst. Overall, it’s in good condition, but something splashed on and adhered to the finish on the back, just around where belt buckle rash would most often go. Otherwise, it’s a very nice instrument and I had some difficulties setting it down to write this.
The original Gibson hardshell case is included.
