Here we have a Gibson Les Paul Standard Left Handed model, in gloss black! Dating to 1986, this example is in overall good condition with a few bumps.
Production of left handed Gibson Les Paul models has never been extensive, but does date back to the late 1950’s. There are at least three known, surviving left handed Les Paul Standards built between 1958 and 1960, which indicates how few were really made.
This Gibson Les Paul Standard Left Handed model dressed in black with creme trim dates back to August 2nd, 1986 at Gibson’s Nashville plant. It is in original, overall good condition, with the greatest wear being a small dent on the back of the neck near the octave fret. Fretwear is minimal and other finish wear is very light. It plays well, and sounds great – like a Les Paul Standard! This is a very solidly built guitar, and was clearly not a recipient of weight relief routing measures.
The original brown Gibson hard shell case is included.
