❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Standard Honeyburst, 2020

Seen here is an attractive Gibson Les Paul Standard in Honeyburst, in very good, clean condition and dated to January 2020 at Nashville.

Built in the manner of a 1960 model, this Gibson Les Paul Standard uses an AA grade, bookmatched and carved Flame Maple top on a Mahogany back, with no weight relief. The 60’s Slim Taper neck is Mahogany with an Indian Rosewood fingerboard and acrylic trapezoidal position markers. Unlike the original models, the ‘Gibson’ headstock logo is Mother of Pearl, while the ‘Les Paul Model’ script is silkscreened. The creme pickguard and ‘poker chip’ pickup selector switch ring are both installed, and the hardware is nickel plated. Tuners are Gibson Deluxe models with plastic ‘Keystone’ buttons – on more recent models, Grover RotoMatics are used, which are a bit heavier. The pickups are BurstBucker 60’s, and the controls are hand wired on a metal plate with Orange Drop capacitors for the tone controls.

The finish is in great condition with just a couple of light pressure marks. It is an un-faded Honeyburst, really setting off the top’s figuring. There is a fair amount of red in the outer tint, suggesting a faded cherry or even an ‘iced tea’ effect, but the model identification on the included QC checklist has an ‘H’ in the finish position, normally meaning ‘Honeyburst’. In any case, it looks fantastic and plays very well.

The QC checklist is dated 1/20/20 for January 20, 2020. Given the time required for nitrocellulose lacquer finishes to cure enough for polishing and packing, most of the work would have been completed during 2019.

The original brown, Gibson branded hard shell case is included and contains setup tools and a new leather strap.
