From 2008 to 2012, the Gibson Les Paul Standard was modified with a chambered body, asymmetrical neck profile, locking tuners, locking Neutrik output jack, and PCB-based control wiring. These very practical changes resulted in a much lighter, resonant guitar.
Here we’re looking at a very good condition, all original Gibson Les Paul Standard in Heritage Cherry Burst. This example dates to June 16th 2011 and was built at Nashville.
The construction of this Les Paul Standard features a carved, nicely figured Mahogany back on a chambered Mahogany back, Mahogany neck and Indian Rosewood fingerboard. The tuners are locking Grover Roto-Matics, paired with a TonePros locking bridge and stop tailpiece set. The pickups are Bustbucker Pro models, and the controls are mounted on a PC-board set behind a smoky – translucent cover plate, and at the end is a Neutrik locking output jack. The knobs are Amber top-hats. These instruments were all run through PLEK machines, so the fretwork and setup is very accurate.
This is a really good looking instrument and the Heritage Cherry burst sets off the Maple figuring. It has a significantly reduced weight adding to comfort. It plays well, and sounds great.
The original black Gibson hard shell case with case candy is included.
