This new arrival 2019 Gibson Les Paul Standard in a spectacular Blueberry Burst is just another of the classic, ‘Benchmark’ Gibson Les Paul Standard guitars, used in almost all genres of music and by thousands of players.
For 2019, the Les Paul Standard features basically everything that made it successful guitar design, putting a figured Maple cap on a Mahogany body and bound Mahogany neck, with some weight relief. As well, the electronics are upgraded with push-pull pots in every position, and some player settings available under the control cover.
What really strikes you is the Blueberry burst finish. This looks simply fantastic, with a wide range of blues hinting into the purple range. For overall quality and colour, this is one of the best finishes we’ve seen for some time. The fretwork and setup is just as good.
