SOLD!!! Gibson Le Grande

Every year, I go to the MIAC trade show here in Toronto, and every year I find something special. This year the Gibson Le Grande is it!   The Le Grande, introduced in 1993,  replaces the classic Gibson Johnny Smith model, built from 1961 to 1989.

I hand-picked this Gibson Le Grande from Yorkville Sound’s display booth. One of the all-time great archtop guitars, the Le Grande is very rarely built anymore. It is a rare treat to get one through our shop!

With its exceptional tonal depth and trademark percussive “thump”, the Gibson Le Grande fits right in with any jazz, bebop, swing or blues music. Hand-crafted in the Nashville Custom Shop, it is also a beautiful example of the hand-craftsmanship still being done at Gibson today.
