❌ SOLD ❌ Gibson J-45 TV True Vintage Steel String Guitar Sunburst, 2014

The Gibson J-45 TV, True Vintage model, is built in Bozeman, Montana as a close reproduction of the prized wartime, ‘Banner’ headstock J-45 – but with the adjustable truss rods that wartime restricted.

Built using nearly all the original material types – Adirondack Red Spruce for the top, Mahogany for the sides, back and neck, and Indian Rosewood for the fingergboard and bridge. At the time of the J-45’s introduction, ‘Rosewood’ frequently meant Brazilian Rosewood – it was not really as special a material as now. The True Vintage models use Indian Rosewood instead.

Adhering to the True Vintage concept, these guitars use the original open style strip tuners, with creme plastic buttons. No Grover Roto-Matics here! As well, these guitars are not factory-fitted with pickups, as most modern Gibsons are.

This Gibson J-45 TV guitar was built during 2014 at the Gibson Acoustic plant in Bozeman, Montana, and is in very nice condition. It’s no secret that I really like the J-45 design, with its warm, rich yet brilliant tone. There’s a substantial but not overwhelming amount of harmonic content, so it does a wonderful job at filling its space in a mix but doesn’t try to take over everything else. Great for recording, or to pair with a voice.

The original Gibson hard shell case is included.
