This Gibson GoldTop Les Paul Classic Limited Edition is from 2017, with a Bigsby B7 unit added, apparently at the factory using Vibramate adapters, and with locking Grover RotoMatic tuners.
Vibramate makes a number of adapters that allow reversible installation of US-made Bigsby products onto a wide range of guitar models, without permanent modifications to the instrument. These excellent products are only made to fit US-made Bigsbys; ‘Licensed’ Bigsby versions have different screw or bolt patterns and metric sizing’s that do not line up with the Vibramate adapters.
On this Gibson Goldtop Les Paul classic, the Bigsby B-7 is mounted with a Vibramate V7 kit, and to make re-stringing much faster, a Vibramate String Spoiler is clipped on. The String Spoiler is one of the few Vibramate accessories that does works on most ‘Licensed’ Bigsby models, and coupled with the added locking Grover locking Roto-Matics, it makes re-stringing a Bigsby equipped guitar a breeze.
This example was built in Nashville during 2017 and is in very good, clean condition with virtually no wear. Sold with its original brown hard shell case, which contains the original case candy and strap.
