SOLD!!! Gibson ES235 Gloss Cherry Thinline Electric Guitar, 2019

Here’s a brand new model, the Gibson ES235 Gloss thinline arch top, flat back, solid center block electric in translucent Cherry!

This is new for 2019 model from Gibson, and it has plenty going for it. Designed and originally built at the now-closed Gibson Memphis plant, this single cutaway, smaller body guitar is built in Nashville, Tennessee. It’s available in Ebony black, Cherry and Sunburst versions.

Gibson had good success in the 1950s and 1960s with the ES-125 model, and the ES-235 updates the concept with a solid center block. The top is arched, while the back is flat. The single-cutaway body is bound top and back, and built of 3-ply Maple – Poplar – Maple laminate for feedback rejection, with a Maple center block that goes from the tail to the ‘bridge’ side of the neck pickup. The neck is Mahogany, with an unbound Indian Rosewood fingerboard.

Hardware is standard Gibson, with retro Kluson style Gibson Deluxe individual tuners with plastic buttons, tune-o-matic bridge and stop tailpiece. A pair of BurstBucker Pro pickups are coupled with a three way toggle switch and individual volume and tone controls.

This model ships with a Gibson gig bag.
