The Gadow Nashville draws from the well-proven T-style guitar, using many basic design elements but with a distinctive new form. The Nashville has a compact, two-pickup layout with a tapered 3-per-side headstock providing gentle angles from the nut to tuners.
Built during 2007 in Durham, NC, this Gadow Nashville features an Ash body with contrasting fill and a very nice Butterscotch Blonde finish. The neck is Maple with an added 12 inch radius, 25.5 inch scale length fingerboard. The headstock has an Ebony overlay and an Indian Rosewood backstrap, and sports a Mother of Pearl Gadow inlay. The back of the head carries hand-written serial numbering and Ryan Gadow signature. The truss rod adjustment is at the body end of the neck, but uses a MusicMan style adjuster nut that requires a notch in the end of the fingerboard. It’s very easy to access.
For hardware, tuners are Gotoh sealed models. The bridge is a Wilkinson vintage T-style bridge with ridged brass saddles. The pickups are a Lindy Fralin T set, and the controls are Master Volume, Master Tone and a 3-way pickup toggle switch.
This Gadow Nashville is in very good, clean condition with very light wear. It plays well, is quite comfortable, and has a distinctive look.
Founded in 2002, Gadow Guitars was based in Durham, North Carolina and by 2005 had seven employees and 33 dealers in North America and Europe. Unfortunately, the company closed in 2019, possibly due to the sudden COVID-related worldwide interruption in parts, materials and staffing availability.
The original hard shell case is included.
