Here we have a Furch OOM31 TR, deep body Orchestra Model steel string guitar built by Furch during 2016 in Velké Němčice, south of Brno in the Czech Republic. The TR in the model number indicate that the top is made of Aged Sitka Spruce, with Indian Rosewood for the back and sides. The neck is Mahogany with Ebony for the fingerboard bridge and head plate.
The Furch OOM31 uses a 12-fret neck, putting the bridge closer to the vibrating center of the top. While the body shape is similar to a Martin Orchestra Model, its sides are deeper by about half an inch, providing more bass and midrange output. An undersaddle pickup system is installed, with controls tucked under the bass side of the sound hole.
Furch instruments are very well and cleanly made, with a lot of obvious attention being paid to small details.
This Furch OOM31 TR is in overall good condition. A small separation in the back seam, stable as it’s under the neck block, has been repaired and stabilized.
The original Hiscox lightweight flight case is included.
