Brand: Neat Banjos
Instrument Categories: Banjos, SOLD
This is an interesting piece – a Frank Neat Bean Blossom 5-string banjo, built as one of 22 Bean Blossom banjos, with the neck and resonator using walnut from a tree that grew next to Bill Monroe’s stage at the Bean Blossom festival grounds.
Working from his shop in Russell Springs, central Kentucky, Frank Neat builds some of the world’s finest banjos. He’s run his shop since 1980.
The Frank Neat Bean Blossom 5-String Banjo, is based on the classic 5-string resonator banjo design used by countless country and bluegrass players. The walnut , aside from its historical charm, adds a warmth and fullness to the tone. Walnut had been a very common tone wood but was displaced by more readily available maple and mahogany. The hardware is nickel plated, and everything is high quality and well made.
A modern hard shell case is included.
