❌SOLD❌ Fender Stratocaster Natural Finish, 1972

For most of the time since its 1954 introduction, the Fender Stratocaster has been very popular and has been available in a myriad of colours, though natural has not always been one of them. The first versions were often sunburst or translucent white, but automotive based colour schemes followed quickly.

The availability of these colours was partly influenced by the woods used in the body. Some species of wood including alder often have very muted grain structures, and aren’t very interesting to look at by themselves. With the introduction of Ash as a body wood, natural finishes become more desirable.

Here we’re looking at an original condition 1972 Fender Stratocaster in a well preserved natural finish. It has been played, so there is wear in the expected areas, especially on the edges of the fingerboard. Typical of 1970’s models, the frets are rather flat and low. This guitar is a good candidate for refretting, and that is factored into the sale price.

The original hard shell case, with the trem arm in the pocket, are included and in good condition.
