The Twelfth Fret ~ Since 1977 ~

❌ SOLD ❌ Fender Jaguar Lake Placid Blue, 1966

Brand:

Instrument Categories: , , ,

The Fender Jaguar was introduced in 1962 and with its shorter 24-inch scale length and bound rosewood fingerboard was aimed directly towards Gibson players. Unfortunately, like its cousin the Jazzmaster, it did not initially sell well and was discontinued in 1975.

Since then, the Fender Jaguar became popular with less mainstream musical genres, including punk, indie and shoegaze styles.

This particular example is a real treat. The neck date is 15FEB66B, and the pots date to 1966. It is in pretty much entirely original condition, and the Lake Placid Blue lacquer finish has some natural checking but hasn’t chipped, and is in good shape. Even the foam from the flip-up bridge mute is still in place!

Fret wear is minimal – this instrument has not been played much, and consequently the neck finish (including the colour-matched headstock front) is in very nice condition.

The original black Fender case is included.
