Here is a first run Fender Highway One Stratocaster wearing a Honey Blonde finish and built during 2002 in Corona, California.
Introduced in July of 2002 and built to June of 2006, the Fender Highway One series features an Alder body with light satin lacquer finish, and a satin polyurethane finish neck with 22 frets and a 9.25 inch radius, rolled-edge fingerboard. This example has a Maple neck with black dots and is a comfortably svelte 7.4 pounds (3.38kg). It is not entirely original; the backplate is missing, and the pickguard and pickups have been replaced with a faux-tortoise guard and Lace Sensor Hot Gold pickups.
This guitar plays well, and is in overall good shape. The intention with the Highway One’s thin lacquer finish was that it would naturally wear or ‘relic’ fairly quickly, and that is happening here. Fret wear is light and there is some wear to the edge-of-neck finish.
Sold with a Voyageur gig bag.
