The Fender EOB Sustainer Stratocaster replicates Ed O’Brien’s Radiohead variation on the Stratocaster. Introduced in 2017 and still in production, this model is based on a vintage-style Maple neck, Alder body Strat but features a Fernades Sustainer pickup in the neck position, a Custom Shop Texas Special in the middle, and a Seymour Duncan® JB Jr at the bridge. There are two added mini-toggle switches for the Sustainer/Driver, an On/Off Switch, and a three-position Fundamental/Harmonic/Blend Switch. On the back, there is a thoughfully added easy-access battery box and an access plate for the two mini-toggles and related circuitry. The standard top-mounted output jack has been moved to the side to allow unrestricted access to these switches. The neck plate features a custom “Flower of Life” textured circle.
This Fender EOB Sustainer Stratocaster dates to October of 2021 and is in very good, clean condition with minimal wear. The trem-cover backplate is missing but is easily replaced. The stock Olympic White finish is in great condition, and overall the guitar plays well and cleanly.
Sold with its original gig bag, containing the trem arm.
