This Fender American Vintage ’56 Stratocaster dates to November 2012 and reproduces the 1956 two-tone models. It is in great shape, with very light wear and a few small pressure marks on the body; it has been played, but lightly.
As with the original models, the Fender American Vintage ’56 Stratocaster uses Alder for the body, and Maple for the soft-V profile neck. The finish is a thin nitrocellulose lacquer, with the two-tone 50’s sunburst and a light amber tint for the neck.
The electronics also reproduce the 1956 layout, including the 3-way switch, and single-layer pickguard. The pickups differ only in their location – they are all the same model, winding direction and polarity.
The original rectangular tweed hard shell case by G&G is included, and contains all the case candy and accessories including cable, strap and tremolo adjustment sheets.
