The Fender American Professional Jazzmaster in Mystic Seafoam is part of Fender’s modernization of many of its top end models.
Originally introduced in 1958 and marketed towards Jazz guitars the Jazz master quickly became popular with surf rock guitars of the 60’s. It later caught on with all types of players that liked its unique appearance and fat sound.
The Fender American Professional Jazzmaster is a direct descendant from that original design with a few modern updates. The two Michael Frank designed Jazzmaster single coil pickups are voiced for their individual positions and overwound for a fat and warm vintage tone which still retains the classic Fender clarity. The new bridge features Mustang saddles and a screw in arm. You can adjust the arm tension until it’s just right for you and the new saddles stay in place as you are working the arm.
Also featured is the new Deep C neck profile which adds more mass and an altered geometry that provides a smooth and natural feel that works equally well for chords and single note lines. The treble-bleed circuit maintains the high end when turning down the volume knob to reduce gain, letting your tone shine through, and no matter where the instrument’s volume is set.
The Fender American Professional Jazzmaster is super cool left of center guitar that respects its heritage while providing practical updates for the modern player.
