Originally designed by Leo Fender, Sterling Ball and Tom Walker, the Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay Classic 4 a mainstay for bassists since the StingRay introduction in 1976. Naturally drawing from the Precision Bass concepts, the StingRay adds an active EQ circuit powered by a single 9v battery and a more compact 3+1 headstock. To aid in stability, the neck joint uses a six-bolt pattern.
Here we’re looking at an Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray Classic 4 bass with a figured Maple neck and likely an Ash body, covered with a black poly finish. This example dates to December 22nd, 2014 and was built at St. Luis Opisbo, CA. It is in overall good condition with small amounts of wear to the finish, with a small chip near the neck plate. Fret wear is light, and the neck finish is very clean.
The original molded hard shell case is included.
