Brand: Eastman
Instrument Categories: Acoustic Steel String, Guitars
The PCH1 D model from Eastman guitars is an excellent choice for players looking for great sounding guitar at an affordable price. One of the main features on this model is the solid Sitka spruce top. And at this price, it’s a great gift for anyone – including yourself!
If you’re interested in a smaller body, the Eastman PCH1 OM (Orchestra Model) is also available at the same price.
The top or sound board is one of the main components in tone production on an acoustic guitar. While laminate tops have more durability they are stiff and don’t vibrate well. The solid top vibrates with the energy of the strings and produces tone.
The Dreadnought body shape of the Eastman PCH1 D has a large lower bout and produces lots of volume and bass response. It works really well for medium to heavy strumming and more aggressive flatpicking. However many players also like the sound of a dreadnought for fingerstyle playing.
The satin open pore finish and classic stain on the top give the Eastman PCH1 D a really cool vintage vibe and the even C shaped neck profile will be comfortable for most players.
The Eastman PCH1 D model is sold without case. Hardshell cases start at $100, and well padded gig bags at $60.
