This Eastman AR810CE, built during 2006 at the Eastman plant outside Beijing is a great instrument, and this one is no exception. Using a 17 inch wide, 3 1/8 inch deep body, the Eastman AR810CE has a hand carved solid Spruce top and carved figured Maple back. The neck is Maple with a bound Ebony fingerboard, and Ebony is also used for the head plate, pickguard, bridge and tailpiece. An Eastman mini-humbucker is suspension mounted at the neck, not contacting the body. The finish is nitrocellulose lacquer, in a vintage sunburst. The body, neck headstock and F-holes are all bound.
The finish is Nitrocellulose lacquer, and this model is sold in Sunburst or, as seen here, a ‘Classic’ finish that simulates the hand-rubbed sunburst on a violin family instrument.
This particular example is in great playing condition – and it has been played, so it has developed its voice and is good sounding and responsive. Fret wear is light to moderate, and the nitrocellulose lacquer finish has little wear.
The original excellent, light weight hard shell fiberglass case is included.
