Here’s a Danocaster Single Cut, T-Style guitar in a Shell Pink nitro finish with an original Peter Florance Voodoo TE60 pickup set, Tele at the bridge and P90 at the neck. This is a very well built guitar that plays wonderfully and has a fantastic sound. The Shell Pink finish looks great, and the hand rubbed neck finish is very comfortable and smooth. It feels well used.
Danocaster Single Cut guitars are made by Dan Strain in Nashville. This example, from a time when Danocaster offered custom orders, is dated by Dan Strain to April 11, 2010 with a two-piece Alder body. The Maple neck has a 9.5 inch radius Rosewood fingerboard and Dunlop 6125 (0.095″ width x 0.047″ height) fretwire. The tuners are vintage Kluson style, and the bridge is a Fender Patent Pending model – this was built before Danocaster had its own bridges made. The saddles are 5/16th models from CJ Tooling. The pickguard is a single-layer white early 50’s style, routed for the P-90.
Florance pickups are no longer available as Peter died suddenly on May 8th, 2019. However, with the Florance family approval, Boutique Pickups, run by a person who worked as pickup winder for Peter Florance, is offering some of these designs built using the original winders, forms and jigs.
The original Danocaster gig bag is included.
