Brand: Collings
Instrument Categories: Acoustic Steel String, Guitars, SOLD
Based on one of the most successful guitar designs, the Collings D2H dreadnought pairs a Sitka Spruce top with Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, dressed with Herringbone purfling.
Collings quality is as good as it gets for any production guitar. Top grade woods are expertly joined and Collings has completely mastered the art of lacquer finishing.
This Collings D2H dates to 1997, and is in very clean condition with light wear and only a couple of dings, from being used as intended. Fretwear is light.
Clear, clean and crisp yet warm, with plenty of volume, the D2H is an excellent guitar for a wide range of situations.
The original Collings D2H is included.
Here’s Collings on the D2H:
“The square-shouldered 14-fret dreadnought is the most popular steel-string acoustic guitar body shape in the world. While Collings is certainly not the only company to build them, we bring a new tonal clarity to the depth and warmth usually associated with such a large, deep-bodied guitar.
Although its bass response makes the dreadnought ideal for vocal accompaniment, Collings versions are also often employed by bluegrass flatpickers who must compete with inherently louder instruments such as banjos and fiddles. The wide range of woods and neck sizes offered allow dreadnought fans to find a Collings model ideally suited to their playing style and tonal preference.”
