The C. F. Martin 000-18 Golden Era model is an attemtp to faithfully reproduce a carefully examined 1937 instrument, with Adirondack Spruce top and Mahogany back, sides and neck. The fingerboard and bridge are ebony.
This example carries a Sunburst finish top and dates to 2015, and was built at the Martin plant in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.
It is in very good condition and has been played in performance but carefully preserved. The Golden Era models were not available with electronics, so the owner added an L R Baggs M1 Active soundhole pickup, which is closer to what would have been added to early electrified acoustics (though the deArmond pickups were most common).
A well used hard shell is included.
